More information about yoga classes

What can I expect at chair yoga?

Chair yoga will help improve your strength, flexibility, balance, and clarity of mind all from the comfort and safety of a chair. This class can be done completely seated or standing, using the chair to balance, and is safe for all levels. This is a pro-aging class!

What if I’m not flexible?

That’s ok! Chair yoga is a great place to start.

Do I have to be a Christian to attend?

Nope! As with all our classes and services on CLC’s campus, all are welcome.

Do yoga and Christianity conflict?

Christian tradition is full of profound teachings on surrender, embodied spirituality, and personal spiritual experience. These lessons are also found at the heart of yoga teachings.

How can I participate?

Just show up! You can pay for your class with cash or a check made out to CLC. Classes cost just $5. You can also buy blocks of classes.

What if I can’t afford classes right now?

If times are tough and you can’t afford to pay, just mark “karma class” on the sign-in sheet. You can also volunteer your time to help with clean up and check-in. Talk to your instructor about these opportunities.

What if I can afford more?

Additional donations are welcome to support “karma classes” (for those that cannot afford to pay). For alternate giving opportunities, talk to your instructor or stop by our church office with questions.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing that allows freedom of movement.

What amenities are available?

Our facilities include restrooms, showers, props, and a limited number of yoga mats. Please bring your own water bottle. Free parking is available on the street and in the CLC parking lot.
