Class Descriptions

Chair Yoga: Improve your strength, flexibility, balance, and clarity of mind all from the comfort and safety of a chair! Chair yoga can be done completely seated, or standing using the chair to aid balance, and is safe for all levels. This is a pro-aging class!

Slow Flow: Tap into the relaxation response by moving with your breath through sequences of yoga poses designed to improve strength and flexibility, balance, and the ability to calm yourself in stressful situations. Suitable for all-levels. This class involves getting up and down off the floor, and challenges your muscles and concentration.

Vigorous Vinyasa: A powerful, heat-building flow, which also incorporates slower, more restorative postures and modifications when appropriate. Come build strength and challenge yourself! All levels welcome.

Calm Strength Vinyasa: A slightly faster-paced class with Billy LeGrand. All levels welcome. Under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Please note classes cost $10.

Common Questions

Do I have to be a Christian to attend? Nope. All are welcome; yoga is not a religion.

Do yoga and Christianity conflict? Christian tradition is full of profound teachings on surrender, embodied spirituality, and personal spiritual experience—also the heart of yoga.

How can I participate? Just show up! Preferably with cash or a check made out to CLC. Classes cost just $5. You can also buy blocks of classes.

What if I cannot afford it? If you cannot afford to pay, just mark “karma class” on the sign-in sheet. You can also volunteer your time to help with clean up and check-in.

What if I can afford more?  Additional donations welcome to support “karma classes” (for those that cannot afford to pay). For other giving opportunities, talk to us.

What do I wear? Comfortable clothing that allows freedom of movement.

What amenities are available? The facilities include restrooms, showers, props, and a limited number of yoga mats. Please bring your own water bottle. Free parking can be found behind the church (enter off Chalcedony Street).

What if I am not flexible?  This is a great place to start.
